Tach and Speedo drive ratios?

Did a search and didn't find a definitive answer, especially for the tach ratio.

What are the drive ratios for the XS400? Specifically, a '77 XS400D?

I've got a few XS650 tachs. Does anyone know if they're the same ratio?

Yes they are the same. Remember that the xs400's red line is 9k not 7.5

This website is really great, I bought my first bike and I've been reading the threads a lot, really helped me!
I have a xs400 RL 84 (Seca) and I just bought a new tachometer cable online. It works but seems off (too low)... I didn't have any ratio info on the product... Are the ratios for the speedo and tach the same for my model?
"Speedo: 60:2240
Tach: 1:5"
Could a wrong ratio could explain this?
