tube or tubless?

the tires on my bike now say tube type, but i need a new rear tire and am not sure where to get a tube type tire for cheap or if it matters. thanks

You can put any tubeless tire on and still use a tube. 1979 is the last year (I think) for tube type rims. The rule I've read is that if you use a tube in a tubeless tire, you subtract 1 grade from the speed rating.

Just make sure you clean out any Detritus which could get trapped between the inside of the tire and the outside of the tube before you inflate and pressurize.
