Turn signals intermittent blinking

As the title suggests, my turn signals don't blink consistently. While the bike is running I activate the turn signal andit blinks fine for a few seconds then goes solid for a while, and out of nowhere will blink again and just repeat the process over and over. Anyone know a potential remedy to this?

Battery fully charged?
Grounds good?
Auto-canceller working?

The old school mechanical flasher relays need a high voltage and stock bulbs to work.
Low voltage or aftermarket bulbs will impair function.

Battery is good, not sure about the grounds or auto canceller though. As far as I'm concerned the bulbs are stock.
