What model is this ?

I've been offered a bike for free, but I'm having trouble confirming which model it is.

Any ideas ?

For free just take it Im sure theres parts on it worth some cash at least. Dunna what it is, looks like a bitsa A thumper of some sorts?

sr185 or sr250 do a google search of the vin number off the motor.

I originally thought it was an sr, but the fuel tank threw me.

Have since discovered it has no compliance plate, makes a bit harder to register

I'm not sure it's an SR. Here's a picture of the '81 sr250 I had.

Note that the exhaust header on mine comes out of the front of the engine to the right of the down-tube. Yours comes out to the left of the down-tube and then sweeps across to the right in front of the down-tube.

It looks like the seats could be the same - however, the tanks are definitely different. If yours is an SR, likely at some point a PO fitted a different tank.
