Hi, I've just bought an 82 xs400 and am looking for parts. The problem is I'm not sure which model I have. Is there an easy was to find out? Thanks

One way would be to look in this thread: Model ID #'s and years.

Your serial number is on the headstock of the frame, behind the headlight. The build date is there, too.

Another way is to post your Serial number and build date in this thread with some photos of your bike.
