Which wires are pos & neg ?

Just got a nifty little device that should give the LEDS in my brake light a strobe effect. Was only $5 from China; so we'll see. Wiring it in should be pretty simple, but it appears I am simpler. I see yellow, blue and black wires going to the brake light. I'll assume black is negative but what color is positive? Also, do you think this is the least awkward location to splice this little device in? Thanks!

The brake light has 3 wires because it is both running and brake light. One wire would be the power for the running, the other power for brake. You want to connect that box to the power for the brake light.

I'm not sure which is which off-hand, I've never looked, maybe someone else knows for sure.

The blue(+) is for the running light, on all the time. The yellow(+) is for the brake light.

Thanks. I could use my 12v tester to see whether the blue or yellow are always hot.
