Hi everyone,
Just bought my very own xs400 dohc from 1989. Cheap, 125 euros
It just got some new tires, a new clutch cable and new battery. Still have to do both brakes, the chain and sprockets, the forkoil and the overall maintainance to the engine (spark plugs, new filters and oil etc). Also the lighting doesn't really work well so I'll have to check all the wiring and definitely the indicator relais as the indicators now only go off or on, they don't 'blink'.. Already I've payed much much more on repairs and parts than I did on the purchasing price, but I guess thats pretty good since all these parts need replacement every so often anyways!
Good stuff riding it though! real happy with my purchase
oh yea, lil bit about myself. I'm 23, live in the Netherlands and I'm a Geologist, almost graduated for my MSc in Petroleum Geology. My future is in keeping the petrol in our bikes, so to say oh and I'm newly engaged
ohyea just wanted to add, thanks for the manuals! theyre a great help!
