Gentlemen,
It finally came time for the low-beam in my sealed headlight to kick the bucket.
Thus, I'm trying to find another OEM replacement for my '81 (pretty sure it's an XS400H/G...it looks exactly like wolf's original bike before he modded it), and was curious if anyone had one around (didn't see any immediately jump out at me in the classifieds, hence this post)?
I saw a few other dissertations about reusing my headlight to do an HID conversion (with the bi-xenons, right?), but I don't trust those ballasts to not fry the rest of my electronics when they fail.
Does someone care to further educate me upon possibilities (H4?...or is that the same as HID?), or are the only options I'm able to look at either an OEM replacement or 7" round upgrade (they produce ones for the xs650 that should fit)?
