XS250 wheels on XS400

Hey all, did Yamaha use 18" alloy drum wheels on the rear end of any XS250's? If so, will the wheel swap to a 1981 XS400? I've spent the last hour looking through a lot of threads, but found no answers specifically for my question. I tried researching a little on google with no luck. Sorry if this is a repeat question.

Don't know about 250s, sorry, but do know that the 400 Secas have 18" alloy wheels with drum brakes. Weird rectangular spokes though - might not be to your liking unless you matched it to a Seca front wheel.

Where those 250s sold in the US? I'd LOVE to get my hands on an 18" mag rear drum wheel! The only ones i have found so far have been in Europe ....

Thats what I like to hear Drewpy!!! Have a line on an 18 inch alloy drum wheel from a 1980 xs250. Do you know if they are fairly close to the same specs as the xs400 alloy wheels disregarding the rim diameter ? Thanks for the help

pretty much the same, the later stuff were designed to run tubeless tyres
