Rebuilding the two carbs and not absolutely sure as to the placement of the ball and spring. All the diagrams I have looked at is not real clear. Can someone help please? Thanks, Gareth

The spring presses the ball into the detents on the choke shaft. The spring and ball need to be inserted before the choke shaft and depressed while the choke shaft is inserted. It's a bit of a procedure to push it in, depress it with a rod through the little hole, and insert the choke shaft without losing the ball and spring, but it can be done.

If you have the ball and spring you can ignore the replacement stuff. I had to use the valve core suggestion as I lost my spring in the carpet somewhere....

Do you have a link for the carb kit?
I can't find one for the 1979...
Don't see 78 and 79? So I was just going to pull them and see what jets where there and just get new one.

Thank you.
