What I was trying to suggest was that you should see if the gaskets are the same between the 2 motors. If they are, you should be good to go. Shouldn't take more than a phone call to the local dealer, or checking online. http://www.starmotorcycles.com/partviewer/?ls=star
well i swapped out the case bottoms and it worked flawlessly using a tutorial i found on here ! once again thanks for the descriptive info guys i got the motor back in last week and today im back at it got the chain back on working on putting the carbs back on and i had a lil problem with the clutch push rod but i figured out that i was missing a berring the whole time... found it in a tray full of black oil lmao must have rolled into it when i was draining the old oil... (prolly minimum 10 years old) but motors cleaan!!!! not polished but 8-10 cans of brake cleaner and engine degreaser ! i like clean motors lol well i still need to figure out something with the seat and havent gone through the brakes yet... any sugestions on that?
