well what have I missed?

just trawling through the new posts, but of anyone has a particular issue I can help with just PM me :)

Hey mate welcome back, hey incidently I noticed on your tracker you had some tricky shit going on with the front brake. It looks like your running a pull cable to a weird looking master cyclinder under the tank that sends the hydrolic line down to the caliper from there. Whats the go with that master cyclinder, whats that from? Im guessing you did it to tidy up the front end.

yep, I wanted a clean bar.

used an old BMW undertank master cyl which used a pull cable. there is a bit of "lag" and the feeling of the brakes suffer, but it works and does what it says on the tin!

there are smaller alternatives i would use if I had to do it again, as one big issue is I had to have a tank hand made to fit around the brake cyl which made it quite large. hence the way the graphics are the way they are :)

Mate could you do a write up and a how to on this hidden master cylinder. What system would you recommend

it would depend on what front brake you have. I used an xjr1300 blue spot caliper which are 4 pot opposed calipers. So i got a dual setup master cyl from a 70's BMW and rebuilt it. They are very expensive and you can still buy them at about £300.

Wrench monkee xs650 bike has a Nissin rear m/c I think that you can find on loads of sports bike like Kawi ZXR, Suz SV and Yam R6.

I saw on your blog that you ordered a battery from ballistic. I'm waiting for one to come in the mail. Any luck with it?

After looking at that setup, i think it maybe a bit beyond me.

The all powerful and wise Drewpy , can you please tell me if this would work on a single disk. I have decided to go a M/C on the handle bars but want something modern looking - http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/23073535...X:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649#ht_1950wt_1026

if not can you recommend some others?

the standard is 14mm and 16mm is for the twin disk. it will work and the downside will be a harder feel to the lever which will give it less "feel" and will have less travel to operate.

Ideally you should go for the nearest bore size, unless you upgrade your caliper to twin pots.

some compatible bore sizes for M/C

I have a modern master that I used with the stock front brake. If you like, PM me your addy, we'll see how much shipping would be:wink2:
