Leaking fuel shutoff

My 78 XS 400 has a leaky fuel shut off. Split in gasket to tank and does not shut off fuel completely. Currently have an in-line shut off on it. Checked cost for stuff to rebuild it at dealer, way expensive. Ideas?

Look for rebuild kits on ebay. They will be much cheaper

There's a petcock rebuild guide on the forum. Very handy.

I did mine last summer and it doesn't leak a drop.
