Jet sizes are all according to how the bike runs. Get it running/driving and see where it needs jetting. Most likely with your setup there will be a lot of trial and error to work it out.
A good day in the workshop today.....
First job, figure out how to mount the bar end mirror I bought without fitting it in the bar end!!!!
Second job,fit the brass exhaust tips I got.I've been after a set of these for ages(anyone following this thread will know I like brass accent pieces!!).They are about $50-60 to buy!!...soooooo.....after a lot of searching I found a site selling brass olives for plumbing,in the exact diameter I needed, bought 5 for £5!!!!!....two on the end of each pipe and job done!!
Then fitted two brass wingnuts, one to each side of the tank side covers, just to finish it off(I have a lot of brass wingnuts on the bike!!)
Lastly, after getting my carbs back from ultrasonic cleaning, decided to change ALL the phillips head bolts for allen cap bolts. Most of the originals were really chewed or rusty,so I think it was a good hour or so well spent!!
I still have to fit the new diaphragms I bought from the US,so seemed like a good time to change the hardware.....
As I am going to be running open pipes with bellmouths on the carbs, any suggestions as to main jet etc. sizes?????
looks good
Hey Bud.....hey dodger its brokenfang i put those tank pics up just now
thanks like the lucas light . your bike is gonna look really nice when done. mine not gonna be near as pretty but its mine.
Comming along nice. Did you get the jbm diaghrams if you did you will like them. Just shop tuning i can tell a major diff in throttle response. Im. Getting ready for some road testing with 145 mains open pipes and oiled foam air filters still have my stock pilots in the next size up was to fat for idle. Got the mix screws a tad over 3 turns out. I got a link in my thread where you can hear mine run in the shop.
