    Hello, I was hoping to get your guys' opinion on rebuild vs aftermarket carbs for the 82' I just picked up. I see they make Makuni slider carbs that eliminate the air box and are supposedly less temperamental than the stock carbs? I thought I'd check to see if anyone has found that going away...

    Carb Diaphragms sealed to carb. Is that that ok?

    I was inspecting my carbs and I saw that the rubber diagrams have basically shrunk down to a paper thin level and sealed to my carb. This is most likely due to old age (36 yr old bike) My questions is is that a cause for concern? Should I ever bother fixing it? Do you guys have any...

    78 xs400 with 81 xs400 carbs

    Hey guys new to the site I've just picked up a 78 xs400 bobber projects and was only to find 81 xs400 carbs. Was hoping if anyone had recommendation on what jet sizes to use or any other advice to give out, I'm at sea level if that makes a difference Thanks

    Has anyone ever gotten their airbox to carb boots back on?

    Not starting

    Hi everybody. Tried to start it Fri and Sat. Checked th plugs and the rt had gas on it. Could I have just flooded. The electrical sysem seems ok. Had it empty all winter. All fuel was drained out. Anyone have any ideas? Also of course has gas in it now. Supposed to get below freezing 3 or 4...
