Will be starting a new thread for some spare parts to sell
The time has come to move on to the next project. Curious if anyone here would be interested.
79 xs400. 14.5k miles
Quick list of what's been done off the top of my head:
- Rebuilt front forks with progressive springs and 20w oil (lowers painted black)
- New black rear shock/spring
- Ninja 250 Brake master cylinder up front and stainless lines front and rear
- Tracker bars
- Adjustable headlight bracket
- Fully cleaned, rebuilt & rejetted carbs, pod filters
- Replaced oem reg & rec (also have a solid state reg/rec to throw in with the bike sale)
- Rewired charging system (charges at 14.5v!)
- Brand new AGM battery
- Rebuilt top end (new rings, honed cylinders, all new seals)
- Allen head bolt kit on engine covers
- Commando cone mufflers
- Cut and painted fenders (also have a mint oem front fender to go with it if wanted)
- Shaved down oem seat (still opens and locks like oem)
- Brand new 50/50 Dual Sport Tires and new tubes mounted
- Includes original Yamaha tool kit with all tools and pouch
- Aluminum starter button (includes a spare aluminum button for the horn)
I know there is still plenty else I'm missing, but that's the high-level. Runs great. Starts easily on kick or starter. Lots of extra parts included.
Not interested parting it out, and please don't just throw low-ball offers at me. Looking for a serious buyer.
