1981 xs400 Special 2 front brake switch

Hi

Thought I would post this for anyone having issues finding the correct brake switch for this model. I ordered the standard switch that you see on many sites, but it was incorrect. The housing was too big to fit through the hole on the brake lever. After searching around I found this one from CMS.

PN: 395-83980-09

This is the correct one. It has a single lock in tab and the proper diameter. Works perfectly

Your's is the front drum brake then. Always search by OEM part number for your specific bike model. 81 xs400-H 395-83980-09-00

Thanks for the reply. I just bought this about a month ago. Yes front drum. I am having a learning curve searching for parts.

It doesn't need much right now but with these old bike something usually comes up.
