HID stopped working....

When I turn the on / off switch on, the bulb flashes once then nothing. I tried a different bulb and same result. I have not yet checked all the connections yet, so that's still a possibility. Just wondering if anyone knows if that brief flash is indicative of any particular problem...

I do like HID, but dam, it seems to be a high maintenance item...

Sounds like you either have a bad connection or the ballast may be shot. Mine flashes, then whines for 4 or 5 seconds as it establishes the arc. I've had it for 2 years and ~20k km and haven't had any issues, riding in all weather from spring to late fall.

Dave what kit did you use? I have hid in my car and love it, was it hard to retrofit it in the bike? Thanks

I bought a 35W motorcycle conversion kit off ebay (for an H4 headlight) about 2 years ago. I had already converted to H4. I've since replaced the HID bulb with a better one, also from ebay. If I were to do it today, I'd buy a brand name kit from a local shop.
