I Changed the Oil Today

Well today I changed the oil on my XS360. It has 25,069 miles and I re-do the oil every 1000 miles or every year. It does not use any oil. I have always used Pennzoil but today I used Shell Rotella T 15W40. The clutch never slipped so we will see.

I use Rotella 15w30 . been using it for a while now no problems here

I use the Rotella T also. No problems.

When in doubt about an oil and your clutch, check the back of the jug looking for a JASO MA rating. This means the oil was tested and approved for wet clutchs.

If you can find Pennzoil in 15W40 in your area, you an stay with that, also. It is available but scarce in many areas. Don't really know why. One thing I can say about using Pennzoil is that it keeps the inside of the engine VERY clean. My '77 4 cyl. gasser Benz is almost new looking when the cam cover is removed. Other oils leave a darker color on the metals.

BTW, I use Valvolene Blue 15W40 in my older cars and two XS400s.
