Locating Points Might be CDI

I have not been able to locate the points so I can check the gap and condition. The LH side of the engine does not really resemble the pictures in my manual. Above the plug is what I feel is the correct area but I have a single phillips screw holding a rectangle shaped box on the side. There is another larger cavity where a screw should be but no visable screw there. Is this a CDI module or something else. I should have posted a picture but I didn't do that yet. What do you guys think?

The 80-82 sohc xs400 used a TCI ignition. Under that cover is the pickup coil that triggers the tci box. There is nothing to adjust. You can test the pickup for the correct ohms. The test procedure is in the manual.

Thanks Chris. I will check it out but I didn't see anything in my manual about TCI. I will see what I can find.
