new guy to the forum

hi guy`s , new to the forum and new to the joy`s of a xs400 . just got my first xs400 from ebay for £450 ( a steal at that price ) she is a 1982 modle with 40k on the clocks , she runs well on the throttle but has problems @ idle ( one cylinder only ) .
i have been in and out of bikes for the last 30 years having owned 2 Z750 , CB 125 and a RXS 100 over the years, haven`t been on a bike for the last 12 years so really looking forward to getting out on the road .
really enjoying the forum it`s been so helpfull already .

welcome! Wish I lived in Scotland, some good roads for riding over there.. First thing to do probably (but you've read about this, most likely) is cleaning your carbs and installing an inline fuel filter. Good chance that'll fix your idle issues
