Hi

Picked up a couple of XS250/400(top end) in October as new winter project hoping to make a good bike from two wrecks.

Got the 250 to fire up for the first time in years with basic carb clean, new plugs and bit of loom repair.

Was happy with how a 20+ year old Yamaha cleans up.

Rebuilt and got through MOT and on the road last week.

Only problem now is what to do with the 400?

Thinking a skinny board tracker style? but want dual seat?

Or chunky sand tyre Tracker?

nice one Rod, love that blue colour.

must meet up for a ride and there is another dude in Bury who has a 250 and making a tracker with it!.

Cheers guys

Sure everyone on here knows its gets quite mind bending at times with these projects

But totally worth it

jboyer 'where did you get those gauges they look sick'

They were made up in the factory to MPH, wanted coloured face like they do in Kph yellow or light blue but couldn't, so had to have the white face with coloured light blue LED backlight, got a spare set if interested.

drewpy 'must meet up for a ride and there is another dude in Bury who has a 250 and making a tracker with it!.'

Yeah no problem, keep an eye for some gaps in this weather!

there's a bike show in March at Event city, I know its a ways away but I'll be def going to that!

come and say hello on the Yam owners club site, that's where we meet up for rides and shows etc. just done the roughleys toy run.
