I was wondering drewpie...I got an rr38 unit with only one connector, 3 whites, 1 black, 1 green, 1 red, and one brown all in same connector. I if figure out the wiring properly, could the unit itself work on my bike? Thanks
Haven't tried an RR38 yet but I believe it will only work for earlier models that used mechanical regulators. The later models wire the field coil differently so the RR38 won't work as-is.
If you're comfortable with wiring and can spot the difference on the wiring diagram you could rewire the field coil to work.
