1982 xs400 secs gas tank

Hey,
I just bought a 1982 xs400 seca and the gas tank is no good. The previous owner tried to fix it by JB welding it and putting a liner inside however it didn't work and now the liner is flaking off. I was wondering what someone else's thoughts would be on fixing that and also if I was to buy a new tank, what kind of tank from a different bike would fit (I'm having troubles finding the proper tank for it anywhere) and where I may get one?

I'm having the same issue, Seca tanks are hard to come by. I've found one in decent shape but the seller wants $300 for it, more than I want to pay. The Maxim tanks are a dime a dozen, and fit the frame as they are the same frame, but I'm not sure how they match up with the seat.

Absolutely the Seca tanks look fantastic in my opinion compared to the maxim tanks.
