In my search for a 21" spoked drum brake wheel for the front of my XS400, I am finding a lot have a very small axle shaft, most of which came out of a smaller enduro or dirt bike. I am trying to do this without spending a fortune or without massive mods.
Will these small axles be strong enough? I'd have to sleeve them to fit my forks, of course.
