im just going to scrap the old tank due to to much rust and could not repair. and was wondering if the tanks thru the years interchange... like mine is a 78 2e will a special tank fit with no problems?

yam had a design change on the rear fittings.
there's a two bolt affair on the tank corners, and there's the central single bolt (like my standard) I guess that's the question you should ask the vendor!

kinda lost in you answer.... it will fit just wont bolt up in the rear

do you happen to know what year or models the design was changed? (did a quick google search and couldn't find anything other than parts and general histories)
