Front Brake hub ?

so im on the part of figuring out what wheels i want to use for my hardtail project and came across a couple questions about how the front drum brake works since i want to use a front drum hub and lace it to a 21" wheel.. so my first question is will it line up fine with xs400 forks that were for disk brakes and does the front brake hub need a brake stay like the rear has one to hold the hub part for the brakes? thanks any upclose pictures will help too

I have a 21" laced to the stock hub, with the disc brake forks. It does need a brake stay still.

Ok sweet thanks man I appreciate the quick response by any chance what does that brake stay look like and how did you use it with disk brake forks or where did you connect it to

its like a little slot that the hub fits into, to prevent the whole hub fromspinning when you engage the brake
