Hi friends,

My bike got caught in a parking-domino collapse that including several other bikes, and my tail light assembly broke to bits, taking a bit of the fender mount with it.

I think I've sourced the tail light but no fender yet. Any ideas?

I have a black 1983 xs400. Like new. (And new to me)

Thanks for any leads at all...

Were you able to collect all the broken bits from the fender mount?

If so, and if Dave's right about the cost of a used replacement fender, I would be tempted, over the winter, to put it together like a jig-saw puzzle and bond all the pieces together with some long fibre body-filler from the back side. Any cracks or missing bits could then be filled from the good side with some short fibre filler. Then glaze, sand and paint.

Time consuming and yucky, but it probably wouldn't cost more than $20 - a little more if you decide to change the colour to red ... :wink2:
