Hello all. I have a 1979 2f that runs pretty well. But has had a flat spot at the end of the pilot to needle transition. Now...the p.o used some kind of lighter density foam on the filter cages as he probably saw what oem cost.... bIke has stock exhaust and pamco. I have cleaned many...

Anyone run a 21 ? Besides fender having to be raised, any clearance issues regarding headers etc? Might put one on my scrambler if no issues.

Did some searching, saw that the boxy tanks dont interchange straight up. But will a special tank swap with no mods for my 2f? My tank has some holes. It has been red koted, but it really is in awful shape.

I thought 2e and 2f had no e starts? Mine is an original 2f with frame and engine serials matching. 2000 original kms.

I am rebuilding a set of 79 2f carbs. Canadian bike. Not sure if that matters. I have them set to the middle position, groove 3 from top. Is that stock? Or is it 4?

I always knew one day id own the little brother....far smoother running little brother. hahaha. Have a KLR250 im just not using, so a friend of my wife has a very nice 79 xs400, the econo model with drum front and kick start only. Pretty nice machine, ill get some pics when i get it tomorrow...
