xs250 cafe project

nice pikkies there, good photography too

that exhaust is a work of art

Cheers the professional pics were done by my mate his camara he brought round was worth more than the 2 1/5 xs's I had there!

The exhaust is just an old front down tube off a buggered system I had kicking about.
Going to have it all chromed or wrapped I cant make up my mind tho.

Hi peeps,

Sorry been away for a bit.

Bikes still coming along but veeeeeeeeeeeery slowly! But me and my wife have just had another baby.

I've mounted all the electrics etc on brackets under the tank. I do have pics, but for some strange reason my phone now won't connect to my laptop, as soon as i've worked out what the problem is i'll put some up.

Oh and good news lol my wife is going to her mums for the week next week with the kids cos she wants me to blitz the bikes in my garage and try to get the XS done. Damn she's awesome :)

Congratulations for your recent addition man....enjoy your fatherhood...and well, do your best on your project next week.
Cheers

congrats to you both on the new baby!

Cheers dude!

Cheers

I shall do my up most to finish it soon i wanna ride the damn thing so badly!!

Oh and on another note it appears my Eldest boy 1 1/2 years is a bike perv just like his old man, if he hears a bike he stops whatever he's doing and looks for it.

So so proud

wow, very nice build and work there. You've inspired me to do greater. :)

Congrats on the second kid and the Free weekend!! I expect to see zero posts once the place is yours until you have finished the build :)

It ain't no weekend its a WEEK!!!! Whoop wooooop!

I shall be shortening and lengthening the loom to fit the new electrics lay out. Refinishing the exhaust linkpipes after fitting new downpipes (Shiny lol).

Re-doing the rear brake linkage as i'm not happy with it, then i have just got to make the seat, brake lines and pads and fit the chain offset front sprocket.
:bike::bike::bike::bike::bike:

Just a quick post while i grab some lunch (3pm tho got carried away in the garage lol).

Here's some more pics of the work, i've redone one of the link pipes and mounted the seat bodywork completly now. so going to be doing the second pipe in a bit then the brake linkage while i've got the welder out.

Also got some Gsxr braided brake lines on their way to me and pads so that'll be the brakes completed.

I'll keep you all posted as work progresses.

try ebay, quite a few trun up there. Don't forget you only need the top end and inductin system for a 400

Sweet exhaust how did you make it

Used a knackered set of down pipes of a XJ600, the downpipes are XS originals and the link pipes were made out of the Xj ones it was just a case of cutting and rewelding in place to how i needed it i put some pics up on this thread look at page 2 in the set of pics.

The exhaust cans i stole from work, i was going to buy them off them but they were arseholes and "let me go" whilst on my trial period because "its not working out" i had to much time off sick, well i was in hospital with brain scans, a lumber puncture, suppected meningitas and a temp of over 42 which could of killed me. Tossers!

Quick update on me bike.
Waiting for my 17 parcels to turn up with my goodies to blitz the last few bits, the exhaust is completely done now and have started on the loom etc by the weekend i will have fitted the new braided brake lines and pads, battery, fitted all the new nuts and bolts that i needed finished the loom and started on making the seat.

I see a finish line approaching!
