I want to share an interesting thing that happened to me that may be of help to newbies like myself. After installing the chain, having removed the front sprocket cover, i neglected to check the seating and orientation of the clutch cable as it entered the cover. I rode for a few miles, then noticed 1 clutch slippage under power and 2 An oil leak. Turns out to have been a partially disengaged clutch due to the misalignment of the cable sheath end as it entered the cover, which put tension on the cable, like "riding " the clutch on a car. Fortunately, no damage was done, but I could have fried the clutch and spent endless hours searching for a leak that wasn't really there! Hope this helps somebody someday.
