Well the supplied seal works fine under the bottom tapered bearing. Its just the clearance on the top that makes the turret nut only catch with a few threads. The top Tapered bearing race is proud by about 1/8 th inch and does not allow the nut to be tightened on as well as it does with the original. The supplied seal works fine protecting the lower bearing from dirt, but the original bearings had none. Nor did they need one. Since I used the older ball bearing for the top I did not need the seal either.
