No illusion, you're seeing it correctly. I painted the carbs about a month ago, and used a different paint today on the starter cover. Which do you think looks better? I can go either way with the paint...I like the contrast, been thinking of painting mine aswell.
The blacked out carbs look great!
There is however something that makes the carbs look more flat black, and the starter cover more glossy. But could be an illusion.
Nice job!
Thanks man! I take it you're talking about how the bike looked before?...with no shine? hahabike looks great, really dig it.....nice and low and no shine...
Thanks bro!no shine? those covers are sparkling lol. i like it man. its really coming together. cant wait to see it.
It worked alright. It worked better on some parts then others. On a few pieces, it looked like it sort of etched the aluminum underneath the paint, but it all came off with sanding, so it may have just been stubborn paint. lol Thanks for the tip man!Did the engine cleaner work alright, I know that i forgot to tell you not to let it dry on the part cause it doesn't work as well. Its an trick I used on my vw's to get rid of the layers, bring back the og paint.
Skippi or no Skippi, I think that's exactly what I'm gonna do....today hopefully!since mines alteady apart im just gonna powerwash and degrease the hell outta it, but wat about like wood and clear silicone just to seal it, then scrape it off after? it just came to me, but that feels kinda skippii-esque
Thanks man! Yeah, I love the ride height where it's at, so I'm really trying to keep it with the new hardtail. I did have to get the wheel re-laced. There is a tiny local shop that does it. I can try to give them a call and see if they have the records, but I don't think they keep them that long. I wish I could help more.Hardtail, i love the bike it's looking really good. I see we both like really low bikes lol. I got a question for ya, I got a 21 inch front rim that I want to lace to my stock brake drum. Did u have to get custom spokes made I so where from. Reason I ask is cause I called Buchanan and they said my drum won't lace to a rim that came with a rotor without it looking like crap.
