Another New Guy and Simplex/Boardtrack Project

Thanks XS400.
Volcum, the tins are going to match the oil tank. They will be the red color with a cream inset.
Drewpy, thanks for the compliments and all the copper will be hit with automotive clear so I don't get Carpal Tunnel from polishing.

Changed my mind on the tanks...Going with the Servi-cycle wing emblem with my own spin.
The cream will match the rest of the bike and the top will say "XS400" where it now says Simplex and the bottom will say "Custom" where it says "New Orleans."

So, have some pics. all the tins have base colors. Had pin striping done tonight and waiting for the tank graphics...keep changing my mind on it.
So none of the tins have clear yet but these pics should help tell the story.

there's never a copper around when you need one, and all these turn up at once :D

that pin striping is sick, getting close to finish?

On my way to start, Dave finished his handiwork on the tanks. The full logo looked too cartoony. So we kept it simple, he used the HOK Paint and the Copper he mixed for the pinstriping.

Thanks guys, these might be the last pictures before final assembly. These were from late yesterday, will be there tonight and tomorrow afternoon working in 105 degree heat, but I am so ready to see this done too.
Ignore the front rotor, it actually matches the rear, I thought it was a 2" hub but it is actually a 2 1/4" hub.

looking good mate

man, I thought to myself before that the engine would probably be clean as hell. And so it is. Great job!
Love how everything works together. :)
how about a video aswell? :)

Bit behind schedule. Took me a long time to get the electrical time, like an entire day. The three wire red - yellow - brown did not seem to match anything plus I wanted to run a total loss coil for the looks. Finally figured it out but I am behind schedule and it was 114 in the garage today, making me work slow, because my hand kept swelling up. Hopefully tomorrow it will be done.

Still some loose ends but here ya go:
